Erin and Dave met through friends after both of them found their way to Boston.  On a trip to Costa Rica, Erin stumbled upon a bottle on the beach where her and Dave were walking.  After some convincing by Dave, she picked it up to examine it further.  There was literally a message in the bottle.  Once Erin began reading it, she realized that her life was just about to change.  The note was a proposal from Dave, and he had planted the bottle just a short while before that.  (That is definitely one of my favorite proposal stories ever!)

I love how they tied the proposal story into their wedding day.  Not only did they get married overlooking the ocean with beautiful beach themed accents, but their guest sign in table mirrored their proposal with guests writing notes on paper and rolling them up and putting them in a beautiful bottle for Erin and Dave to read  later.  This venue – Water’s Edge Resort – was simply beautiful with patches of flowers and grasses overlooking the beauty of the blue ocean.  Check out highlights of their day below!
