Emily and Dave met sophomore year in high school.  They were good friends then (and Emily had a huge crush on him… shh), but it wasn’t until they reconnected after college that they knew this was meant to be.  They are best friends and have a blast no matter what they are doing, and they are both such genuinely kind and caring people.  It’s almost literally impossible not to smile when you are around them.

Their wedding was at the gorgeous Grand View in Mendon.  I had never been there before, but I quickly fell in love with the beauty of the venue and the variety of backdrops for pictures.  Emily and Dave did a first look in the outdoor chapel area that is surrounded by white columns and beautiful flowers and grasses.  It has a sort of elegant European feel. We did almost all their formals before their ceremony so they could have fun during cocktail hour. They had such a fun crew and I love the pictures we got during that time.  Also, I’m a little obsessed with the blue suits this season!

Their ceremony overlooked the peaceful lake.   Emily descended down a grand staircase to meet her father and walk down the aisle toward Dave.  The weather was beautiful, and I just love the excitement on their faces after saying “I do!”  That moment… that excitement of it being official… is one of my favorite moments of the day.  Check out more of their Grand View Mendon wedding photos below!
